How do I remove wig glue from a hard plastic doll?

Question by myprtybutterflies: How do I remove wig glue from a hard plastic doll?
I have a doll from the1950’s. Someone has tried to glue a wig on this doll. All of the hair has fallen out except for a few strands. The poor thing looks like it has mainge! I could just replace it, but I really want her to look as original as possible. So I need something that is strong enough to remove this glue, but gentle enough not to damage her original molded hair under the glue.

use something extremely hot, not fire, maybe a hot 300 degree boiling pot of water would do , just leave it there on the stove, while the heat is still on, don’t leave the stove though, wouldn’t want you or the doll getting hurt

Try some real orange citrus aerosol spray. It takes glue off of any surface, and it doesn’t tear the surface up. Make sure it has real citrus in it or it won’t work.
