What are the best type of wigs for a cancer patient? (Specially an elderly one with a sensitive scalp)?

Question by cleo715: What are the best type of wigs for a cancer patient? (Specially an elderly one with a sensitive scalp)?
My grandma is fighting breast cancer and has just recently lost her hair due to chemo. I’m browsing the web for wigs for her to choose, but I have a couple of questions:
What are the different methods of getting your wig to stay on?
I live in an area of extreme heat, plus my grandma has a sensitive scalp / skin in general, she also loves to cook and be around the stove, etc. so what would be the best type of wig?
Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

your best bet is to talk to her beautician. they can usually tell you where to look for the wig and all the other info you need. you might want to consider a short scarf if her scalp is sensitive and it’s hot where she is.
