I know a teacher with schizoaffective disorder and is the best I’ve worked
with. Her students are all above where they should be for their grade
level. I trust her with my own children all the time. Just because you have
a mental illness doesn’t mean your a bad parent. If CSB was called on every
mentally ill parent they would have enough staff to cover. 9 out of 10
people in America has some sort of Mental illness at some part of your
    life. ?

I feel so bad for Susanna. She is me. It is SO hard being everything for
everyone and trying to do the right thing, whether it’s appreciated or not.
I watched my mom do this as a kid and it caught up to her both physically
and mentally. I get what the therapist is saying, but there should be a
balance between caring for others and self. If there isn’t, it’s the
caretaker who will – at some point – end up in the hospital bed.

I’m officially hooked on this show. Just when I think I have it all figured
out they throw something new in.

and actually, if this was reality, hospital workers would have called CPS,
it’s mandatory when there’s drug use or mental illness and they know
there’s a child in the middle of it all, even if there’s a family member
able to step in. CPS would still have to check out that family member too.
they’d give susanna temp. custody and make katie sign over her rights until
she went through treatment and got her life together.

Hi Britta. I am a mental health professional and can say that it is not
mandatory to report on someone because they have a mental illness. Only
when there is suspected abuse and/or neglect.

me or email me at maonaitou@yahoo.com. I’d love to be some you can vent to,
you shouldn’t have to feel in pain emotionally and I will definitely take
    you seriously. :)

i don’t think people realize that mark may be a bit wrong, but it seems
like susanna is never around and that this happened before the situation
    with katie.
